The Wholesome Daily Details (Aka The Itinerary):

2017 DATES: 1 – 6 MAY 2017 – 1 place available / 10 – 15 july – places available! 

DAY ONE 

Arrive at the stunning Komune Resort & Beach Club located in secluded East Bali. Meet Dani and your fellow “retreatees” for afternoon tea (think raw treats and fresh tropical fruit) and kombucha tasting. Dive into the beachfront pool or settle in with a sunset cocktail before enjoying a traditional Balinese welcome group dinner with new friends.

DAY TWO

A sunrise yoga class and healthy breakfast will prepare you for a culinary journey through South East Asia. Learn how to cook (and eat!) some of Dani’s favourite wholefood Asian recipes with a private cooking master class in the lush surrounds of Komune’s organic gardens. Take the afternoon off to lie by the pool, read a book, squeeze in a gym session or enjoy an uninterrupted afternoon nap (yes, please) then pop down to the beach club restaurant for nourishing dinner fare.

DAY THREE

Spend the morning at the magical Bali Asli cooking school in the Pangi village where you’ll learn how to cook traditional Balinese dishes in a hands-on cooking class. Live like a local by tasting palm wine straight from the tree, sipping Balinese coffee, bathing your feet in natural springs and walking through stunning rice fields with towering volcanoes and ocean views in sight. Cap the day off with some afternoon relaxation or yoga at the resort, a sunset cocktail and a wholesome dinner by the sea.

DAY FOUR

Today is all about you. No schedules, no set agenda. Sleep in, wake early for yoga class, bliss out during your 60-minute private massage, zen out by the pool, stare at the ocean, enjoy breakfast or to an insightful Introduction to Ayurveda talk. Write Haiku poetry if you darn well feel like it. Maybe some reiki healing or even a mani-pedi is on the cards? Once you’ve had one whole day to do whatever you like (imagine that?), slip into something comfortable and join the tribe for a cocktail under the glow of dusk and a dinner filled with goodness.

DAY FIVE

Morning yoga followed by Watermelon Pizza (yep, it’s breakfast food, trust us, you’ll love it). Cruise to Ubud to experience a traditional Jamu (herbal tonic), indulge in a Balinese Beauty class and discover the healing plants of Bali with a herbal nature walk. Make your own special skin scrubs and body oils with natural, local ingredients and make a pit stop at Alchemy for smoothies and salad bowls and a bit of raw chocolate. Swing past the Monkey Forest before returning to the resort to watch the sun go down one last time with good pals and wholesome food.

DAY SIX

Take one last dip in the pool and road test one final, delicious dish on the breakfast menu. Stay on at the resort for some more R&R and catch a late flight home or head straight to the airport, warm and sunkissed and dreaming of your return.

The Wholehearted Inclusions

Meals: All meals* and non-alcoholic drinks, 5 x sunset cocktails

Accommodation: Five nights accommodation at the exclusive Komune Resort & Beach Club

Transfers: Return airport transfer valid on the first and last days of the retreat only, transfers to all activities outside of the resort

Activities: Exclusive cooking master class with Dani Venn, Balinese village exploration and hands-on cooking class at Bali Asli, herbal walk and Jamu class in Ubud, admission to the Monkey Forest

Pool: Access to two pools, one private (guests and adults only), one overlooking the beach, both with day beds, lounges and towels

Dani: Well some of her! Dani will be your host and guide and will be available each day to chat, answer questions and support you during your stay

Exclusive Facebook Group: As a VIP guest and Wholehearted Wellness retreater, you will be invited into a special private Facebook group where you can e-introduce yourself to the group before your departure and receive some special things along the way!
